We just re-tiled the kitchen backsplash, and I can't believe what an incredibly, massively, HUGE difference it made! Granted, in the first photo we don't have our stuff out, but even still, it looks so much better now...so happy with it!

Fantastic! That green just pulls it all together. And the red dishcloth just pops and works lovely. Nice job.
Andrea, I love the green mosaic tile! It's really lovely and absolutely brings the room to life. Did you and Warren do the work yourselves? Ian likes to tile but it's too daunting a DIY task for me. I am considering trying wallpaper soon, because I found a beautiful paper that will look fabulous in our new bedroom. I wonder if wallpapering is difficult? I guess I'll find out. But, wow, your kitchen looks great. Congrats!
I think I'd rather tile than wallpaper, that looks daunting to me! Paste, paper, walls... eww! And yes, we did do it ourselves,,, I was the "little helper" though, Warren's pretty handy!
