I Heart NY

I miss it! I haven't been since last January, and I really, really miss it! Warren came twice in the 5 years that we were going, and we made the most of our couple of free days. Shopping, Circle Line tour, walking, walking everywhere! We saw Urinetown the first time around, and Glengarry Glenross the second time. That had Alan Alda, Liev Shriever, Jeffrey Tambor (from Arrested Development) and that other guy from the Dukes of Hazard, (Tom Wopat?)Being a Mamet play, it was a tad wordy... A few years ago, J and I saw The Dinner Party, starring my 2 childhood crushes.... John Ritter and Henry Winkler... that was heaven!

Andrea, I heart New York, too, and haven't been there in way, way, WAY too long. And, shut up! John Ritter and Henry Winkler? Man that takes me back to 1970s TV, in a really good way.

I adore Liev Shriever, absolutely adore him. I heard that cast was amazing. Although, I must admit, that play is a tad depressing, yes? I read it in a class and saw the movie once, which was enough. Although Alec Baldwin was pure genius in it. :-)

It was dark, I was tired, and it wasn't the fastest moving (or stimulating) play in the world... a bit depressing, and a tad... boring... and I almost fell asleep! Haven't seen the movie though... must rent it!
