Jumping off a waterfall in Jamaica!

These pics are a little blurry, but Mere was taking them from afar and had the zoom on. This was so much fun, and I can't believe I did it! You could go right under the waterfall and have the water thunder down on your head. You could cannonball from one fall to the next, as you can see me doing, AND you can rope swing into one of the pools. I felt like a kid again!

I need some sun...

This has been the crappiest Spring on record for a while. It's raining and cold right now as I write this. Summer is officially supposed to start on Friday, so something better change PDQ! I'm posting some more Phoenix photos, to make me feel better. This is Montezuma Castle. It's a deserted primitive settlement, it was quite an amazing sight!

Winter in Phoenix...

is a heck of a lot nicer than winter in Vancouver. I came home to freezing rain, from sunny skies and 83 degree temps. This city as some fantastic art galleries, Mexican restaurants and there's a place called the Sugar Barrel that makes the BEST ice cream sundaes. Oh yum.

The Bridges of New Hampshire

OK, so its not as romantic sounding as the Bridges of Madison County (I'm sorry, but Clint Eastwood is HOT for an old guy!)My aunt lives in Franconia, NH, and I've visited her there a couple of times. It's so beautiful and peaceful, yet they have the strangest state slogan... "Live free or die". Alrighty then!

I Heart NY

I miss it! I haven't been since last January, and I really, really miss it! Warren came twice in the 5 years that we were going, and we made the most of our couple of free days. Shopping, Circle Line tour, walking, walking everywhere! We saw Urinetown the first time around, and Glengarry Glenross the second time. That had Alan Alda, Liev Shriever, Jeffrey Tambor (from Arrested Development) and that other guy from the Dukes of Hazard, (Tom Wopat?)Being a Mamet play, it was a tad wordy... A few years ago, J and I saw The Dinner Party, starring my 2 childhood crushes.... John Ritter and Henry Winkler... that was heaven!

Away...

I want to get on a plane and go somewhere...
I need a real vacation. I haven't sat on a beach for a long time, like 15 years. OK, I've sat on the beach here, and in Osoyoos, but a TROPICAL beach, it's been a bit too long...
I'm thinking Cuba would be nice. A little Salsa, maybe?

Imagine

This photo was taken last May in NYC. It is the John Lennon Memorial in Central Park close to where he was shot and killed. It's located in a beautiful, peaceful part of the park, an oasis of quiet in an otherwise noisy New York City. Sheltered by trees, the spot felt protected and safe. Hand written notes were placed in the middle, as well as hand made paper cranes, a symbol of peace.

John Lennon imagined a world without war, a world without religion, a world without hunger. It's really not too much to ask, is it?
