Before and After

We just re-tiled the kitchen backsplash, and I can't believe what an incredibly, massively, HUGE difference it made! Granted, in the first photo we don't have our stuff out, but even still, it looks so much better now...so happy with it!

Our new end table...

Yes, I'm showing off our new additions to our living room... we've been looking for months for an end table and area rug to put the finishing touch on the space. I love them! They really tie the room together, and go quite nicely with our funky 70's wall sculpture.

My pad...

This is our dining room table and chairs. The table was a real find, as its a vintage 1960's teak piece from Denmark. The store had just put it in the window when I happened to walk by, and I just knew it would be perfect. The chairs are new, but reproductions of the classic Arne Jacobsen design called Seven. At first I wasn't sure about the white with the teak, but as soon as I saw them together I loved it.

Pinnochio

This is a mask I bought in Florence a few years ago. It was this cool little shop where the artist was also the shopkeeper. He spoke almost no English, so that was interesting... He had a brochure of recent shows, and I was surprised to see he had a showing in Langley, B.C., of all places.

We grew it ourselves!

Here is one of about 12 tomatoes that we were actually able to grow in a container on our patio! We have some beautiful chili peppers that are almost ready too. And to think, I always thought I had a black thumb!
