2 Fishies...
I'm having a bad day. You know when you have about 3 or 4 things that just HAVE to be done, then all it takes is one more little thing to push you over the edge...
That was my day. I wallowed in some misery and felt sorry for myself, but feel much better now.
Plan for the night, sit on couch, eat chocolate.

My pad...
This is our dining room table and chairs. The table was a real find, as its a vintage 1960's teak piece from Denmark. The store had just put it in the window when I happened to walk by, and I just knew it would be perfect. The chairs are new, but reproductions of the classic Arne Jacobsen design called Seven. At first I wasn't sure about the white with the teak, but as soon as I saw them together I loved it.

Beetles fascinate me...
I was inspired by Nick Bantock for this collage. He is the author/artist of the Griffin and Sabine books. I actually met him when he came to our garage sale a couple of years ago, right after I started making collages. I told him that I loved his work, and asked him if he'd take a look at my collages. That is SO not like me! I guess I just decided to grab my opportunity... Anyways, I had Nick Bantock captive in my basement, giving me a critique. I had literally just started doing some art again after a LOOONG dry spell, so to have this input was amazing. He is quite the character, and his energy and intensity is unlike anyone I've ever met.

If you go down to the woods today...
you're in for a big surprise!
This is a rather large grizzly bear that walked about 200 ft. from our camping spot this weekend... I had to get back in my tent and go to sleep that night too... I didn't get very much sleep, suffice it to say.
He wasn't really very interested in us, kind of nonchalant actually. I guess that's what its like when you're at the top of the food chain.
